If you’ve ever wished you could get the great gas mileage of a Toyota Prius in a sleeker car, your wish is coming true. The Toyota Prius is getting a sporty makeover with the Prius PLUS Performance Package.

The Prius PLUS Performance Package, released at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show, will hit Nebraska showrooms in April 2011. The new performance package will give the Toyota Prius a more customized look while retaining its excellent fuel economy and 0.25 coefficient of drag.

The Prius PLUS Performance Package will include a seven piece body kit, which features:
• Uniquely styled rear diffuser
• Front and rear bumper spoilers
• Side skirts

Also included in the Prius PLUS Performance Package:
• 17-inch forged wheels
• 215/45R17 tires
• Lowering springs
• Rear sway bar
• Floor mats with embroidered PLUS logo
• PLUS exterior badge

These additions to the Toyota Prius will give the car a higher strength-to-weight ratio, which will keep corner weight down and performance up. They will also decrease the chance of rollovers and increase performance.
